The Taoiseach Brian Cowen faces being quizzed by the preliminary inquiry into the banking crisis.

The man charged with carrying out the report, Klaus Regling, has said he wants to question former Finance Ministers such as the current Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern and Charlie McCreevy.

Mr Regling - who is before an Oireachtas Committee - said it's his job to look at the creation of the bubble and why it burst.
