EasyJet staff and crew strike in Berlin
Cabin staff and crew for low-cost carrier easyJet have gone on strike at Berlin's Schoenefeld airport, forcing the cancellation of at least seven flights.
The industrial action by the 300 workers, which was due to end at 10.30am (9.30am Irish time) is over the British airline's refusal to allow the workers to form a workers' council as is usual in Germany.
The union staged a first warning strike on December 3.
Pilots at German carrier Lufthansa voted on Wednesday to stage a four-day strike from Monday in a dispute over pay and job guarantees.
