The best way to beat the recession is to keep the staff happy, according to a new study from Kingston University in the UK.

Researchers said happy or "engaged" workers are more successful, more innovative and manage their workloads better.

A contented workforce can also apparently help companies be successful and hold onto their staff during tough economic times.
