103 new jobs as Japanese gaming company expands
Japanese online gaming company Gala is to expand its European Headquarters in Dublin with the creation of 103 new, high-quality jobs, it was announced today.
As part of the expansion, the Irish operation will be involved in three new game title releases, other language versions of games and expansion into new markets.
Gala established its European headquarters in 2006 and employs 90 people in Dublin’s Digital Hub.
The expansion of this operation comes as a result of growth of the European online games market and the success of the Irish operation to date, a statement said.
“This expansion by Gala in the digital media sector is most welcome," Tánaiste Mary Coughlan said.
"Digital Media is an exciting emerging sector and one for which Ireland is gaining a strong reputation."
