New appointees to Aer Lingus board

Aer Lingus has appointed two new non-executive directors to its board.

Former president and CEO of Air Canada Montie Brewer and Nicola Shaw of transport company FirstGroup PLC join the airline's board with immediate effect, the former flag-carrier said.

"We are delighted to welcome Montie Brewer and Nicola Shaw to our board," said Aer Lingus chairman Colm Barrington.

"Their knowledge, expertise and experience of the airline and transport sectors globally will make a major contribution to our board and to defining and implementing the changes required for the future success of Aer Lingus."
