ISEQ down 14 points
The ISEQ index of Irish shares declined 14.05 points to 3.087.53 today.
In the financial sector, Bank of Ireland gained 4c to €1.52, Allied Irish Banks slipped 2c to €1.51 and Irish Life and Permanent shed 4c to €3.71.
The only gain of significance came for Kerry Group, which climbed 21c to €22.56.
There were widespread losses elsewhere, particularly in the construction sector. CRH plunged 24c to €17.95. Grafton (down 16c to €2.91) and Kingpsan (down 14c to €6.26) fared little better.
DCC endured the heaviest losses, slumping 68c to €20.40. FBD (down 20c to €6.70), Irish Continental Group (down 17c to €14.45) and Paddy Power (down 10c to €24.40) all lost ground.
