ISEQ down slightly
The ISEQ index of Irish shares slipped 6.59 points to 3,101.58 by close of business today.
There were mixed fortunes for the financials. Allied Irish Banks enjoyed the best performance, climbing 5c to €1.53. Irish Life & Permanent did badly, slumping 19c to €3.75. Bank of Ireland finished 4c in the red on €1.48.
Both Kerry Group and Elan gained 10c to finish on €22.35 and €5.60 respectively.
There were some significant losses elsewhere however. Icon plunged 93c to €16.57. Paddy Power (down 50c to €24.50), Donegal Creameries (down 14c to €1.96) and Kingspan (down 10c to €6.40) all lost ground.
