British manufacturers predict modest recovery

Britain's manufacturers will only see a muted recovery this year under a "far from certain" outlook for the UK economy, a new report predicted today.

Research among more than 600 firms suggested that UK manufacturing will grow by 1.2% in 2010 before picking up to 3.4% next year.
