High Court sanctions IL&P restructuring

Irish Life & Permanent today announced that the High Court has sanctioned the move to make Irish Life & Permanent Group Holdings the new holding company of the Irish Life & Permanent group.

A statement from the company said this will become effective upon the issue by the Registrar of Companies of a certificate of registration of the court order.

It is expected that the court order will be filed with the Registrar of Companies shortly after close of business on January 15, the statement said.

Shares in the new company are then expected to be listed on the Irish and UK stock exchanges on January 18.
