Around a quarter of voters in Iceland have signed a petition against repaying billions of pounds lost by foreigners when the country's banking system collapsed.

Nearly 300,000 foreigners had their Icesave scheme accounts frozen in October 2008, following the collapse of the parent company Landsbanki.
