ISEQ up more than 2.5%

Christmas came early on the Irish Stock Exchange today as the ISEQ index soared 76.60 points to 3,032.38, above the psychologically significant 3,000 mark.

The financials all performed well some jitters yesterday. Allied Irish Banks led the way, climbing 19c to €1.23. Bank of Ireland will also be pleased, improving 14c to €1.35. Irish Life and Permanent inched up 3c to €3.07.
