Quiet trading on Irish Stock Exchange
There was little movement in Irish stocks today, as the ISEQ index of Irish shares crept down 12.17 points to 2,917.05 in morning trading.
The financial sector reflected this trend. Irish Life and Permanent shed 4c to €3.19. Allied Irish Banks was down 2c to €1.24. Bank of Ireland was unchanged at €1.43.
The only significant gain of the morning came for Tullow Oil, which shot up 28c to €14.23.
Elsewhere, the construction sector saw some decline, with CRH losing 34c to €18.16. Kingspan declined 10c to €5.90.
Other losses included Kerry Group (down 17c to €21.78) and Paddy Power (down 10c to €24.60).
