Lynch Hotel Group completes examinership

One of Ireland’s largest hotel operators, Lynch Hotel Group, has today emerged from its examinership process, the firm confirmed today.

One of Ireland’s largest hotel operators, Lynch Hotel Group, has today emerged from its examinership process, the firm confirmed today.

The company voluntarily undertook the process in order to protect its business and the employment of more than 500 staff members across the seven hotels it owns and operates in the west of Ireland.

All properties in the group remain intact and will continuing trading as normal as part of the Group.

This afternoon, the hotel group received a positive outcome at a confirmation hearing in front of Ms Justice Finlay Geoghegan following the issuing of the report of examiner, Michael McAteer of Grant Thornton Dublin, to the High Court.

Lynch Hotel Group managing director Michael B. Lynch said: “We are very thankful to the court. In addition we are grateful to our business partners, suppliers, staff members and loyal customers for their continued support and understanding throughout this process.

“We look forward to continuing to offer the best value for money in the Irish hotel industry for many years to come and continuing to grow our core competencies in the leisure, conference, wedding and event markets.”
