Anglo directors 'were at docklands meeting'
Anglo directors were present at a Dublin Docklands Development Association (DDDA) meeting on the Irish Glass Bottle site purchase, according to the minutes of a DDDA meeting.
Seán Fitzpatrick and Lar Bradshaw sat in on a conference call at which the board of the DDDA approved the €412m purchase of the site (part-financed by Anglo Irish Bank).
They advised the DDDA of their non-executive roles at Anglo and said they would not be involved in any executive decisions at the bank.
"The board concluded that no material conflict of interest existed in respect of the participation by the directors in the discussion and decision on the proposed acquisition," say the minutes of the board meeting.
