New York Times to cut up to 150 jobs

The New York Times will cut up to 150 positions, including 100 in the newsroom, amid industry-wide declines in advertising revenue, the newspaper and its largest union said.

The Times will offer voluntary buyouts at first but will resort to layoffs if it cannot meet the targets.
