Businesses need to put a recovery plan in place now to seize on the opportunities presented by the downturn, according to ISME Chief Executive Mark Fielding.

Addressing the Institute of Certified Public Accountants' Members in Industry Conference Mr Fielding said: "Recessions are cyclical and this too will pass. Businesses now need to focus on developing a robust recovery plan that will allow them to seize on opportunities as and when they arise as the economy starts to recover."
