Amazon introduces free shipping to Ireland

Online retailer Amazon.co.uk has announced the introduction of free shipping to Ireland on orders over £25 (€27).

"Earlier this year, Amazon announced a huge increase in the number of products available for delivery to Ireland and we have seen a very positive response from Irish customers," said Brian McBride, managing director of Amazon.co.uk.

"The introduction of Free Super Saver Delivery will allow even greater value to be gained from shopping with Amazon.co.uk."

Amazon has also introduced Amazon Currency Converter, enabling Irish customers using a Visa or MasterCard issued in euros to pay in that currency at Amazon.co.uk.

The exchange rate is displayed at the time of ordering – so shoppers will know exactly what they are paying, rather than having to wait for their card statement.
