GE Money to lay off around 65 workers
US financial firm GE Money is expected to lay off around 65 of its Irish workers as part of a restructuring plan.
The company, which currently employs 280 people in Ireland, is expected to shed around 50 jobs in the Shannon Free Zone and another 15 in Dublin.
The exact number of redundancies will be decided during a consultation process with staff over the coming weeks.
The company says it will seek to redeploy some of the affected staff in other areas of its operation.
