NI electricity prices to fall by further 5%
Electricity customers in the North can look forward to another fall in their bills over the coming months.
Northern Ireland Electricity is dropping its prices by 5%, on top of an 11% decrease at the start of the year.
The Utility Regulator says the decrease will mean prices in the North have fallen more quickly than those in Britain or the Republic.
Householders in the North will now be paying an average of £64 per year less than those south of the border.
Meanwhile, Firmus energy has also announced an 18% reduction in its gas prices following a similar move by Phoenix Gas in recent weeks.
