100 Ryanair passengers miss flights

Around 100 Ryanair passengers have missed flights out of Dublin airport because of what the company says is unofficial strike action by security staff.

It is the third day in a row that people have not been able to reach their gate on time.

Yesterday, both Aer Lingus and Ryanair passengers were forced to take later flights after missing their flights.

This problem has been ongoing for much of the summer, and the airline is calling on the Government to intervene.

Ryanair spokesman Stephen McNamara said the DAA is turning a blind eye to the situation.

However, Dublin Airport Authority spokesperson Siobhán Moore has accused Ryanair of being disingenuous.

She said there is no evidence of any "go-slow" at security and claims passengers are simply not arriving at the airport on time to make their flights.
