New post for former Boots chief executive

The former chief executive of Alliance Boots, Richard Baker, has been appointed as an operating partner at private equity firm Advent International.

Baker, who also previously acted as chief operating officer at supermarket Asda, will advise the buyout firm on investment opportunities across the retail and consumer sectors.
