Shares in AIB have gained 10% on the Irish Stock Exchange this morning amid reports that a top Canadian bank is interested in taking a stake in the institution.
Reports this morning say the Canadian bank has approached AIB and the Government about the deal, which would only go through after NAMA has removed toxic loans from AIB's books.
