Inland Fisheries Ireland appoints new boss

Current CEO of the Central Fisheries Board Dr Ciaran Byrne has been named as the head of the new amalgated national inland fisheries authority.

Current CEO of the Central Fisheries Board Dr Ciaran Byrne has been named as the head of the new national inland fisheries authority.

Inland Fisheries Ireland is to be established following the amalgamation of the Central and seven regional fisheries boards as part of government efforts to streamline state agencies.
