Mobile operator 3 today announced a €1m investment in its network of 21 retail stores in Ireland.

The company said the injection will be invested in interior design, layout and interactive demonstrations, described in a statement as "a significant evolution in how consumers test devices prior to purchase".

"The 3Store upgrade sees brand new hi-tech display units being installed into the stores which mean customers can try out all the features of any phone before they decide to buy it," said Director of Sales Elaine Carey.
