One third of Irish businesses have been affected by crime in the past year, according to a survey published today by the Small and Medium Enterprises Association.

One third of Irish businesses have been affected by crime in the past year, according to a survey published today by the Small and Medium Enterprises Association.

The association says the incidence of crime was actually down during the year, but that the associated cost had increased.

It also says just 1% of its members have faith in the judicial system to properly punish criminals who target businesses.
