Independent News & Media (INM) said today it has put forward a refinancing proposal, involving an attempt to raise capital by way of a "deeply discounted rights offering", in an effort to repay its outstanding €200m bond.

Independent News & Media (INM) said today it has put forward a refinancing proposal, involving an attempt to raise capital by way of a "deeply discounted rights offering", in an effort to repay its outstanding €200m bond.

The company said it was in discussions with the bond holders as well as principal shareholders on the issue.
