70 jobs to go at Kerry Foods plant in Wicklow

Kerry Foods has announced plans to close its factory in Glenealy, Co Wicklow, with the loss of more than 70 jobs.

The closure will take effect by the end of September.

Workers at the plant were informed yesterday evening that production will be transferred to three other facilities within the group.

The company is blaming a fall in sales and a drop in demand for exports.
