Virgin boss predicts hard times for airlines

The global recession will make this year the “worst in the history of aviation” for the airline industry, Richard Branson warned today.

But it will be the best for passengers, as airfares have been pushed down to the levels they were at 20 years ago, the Virgin tycoon added.
