ISEQ down almost 4.5%

The value of Irish shares plummeted by 4.48% today as the ISEQ index showed a 117.06-point loss to finish on 2.493.68 in what was a miserable day of trading.

All of the financials lost ground, with Irish Life & Permanent faring worst, losing 53c to €2.20. Bank of Ireland declined 22c to 95c, with Allied Irish Bank declining 15c to 88c.
