New MD for MyHome

Irish online property service MyHome has today announced that Angela Keegan has been appointed managing director with effect from June 1, 2009.

Keegan replaces Jim Miley who co-founded MyHome in 2000.

Keegan has been chief operations officer at MyHome since she joined in 2005 and has been responsible for the expansion of the property portal to include commercial, overseas and rental property listings.

Commenting on her appointment, Keegan said: "I look forward to building on the success of MyHome by maintaining a strong focus on our customers and through continued innovation in the business.

"Despite the economic backdrop the underlying level of demand in the market remains strong.

"This is evidenced by the continued growth in visitor activity on MyHome.ie in Q1 2009 which saw the number of unique visitors up a significant 14% on the previous quarter."

Jim Miley leaves MyHome, which he co-founded in 2000, following nine years as chief executive. Miley is chairman of Concern Worldwide.
