SRT workers to meet EU Employment Commissioner
A delegation of SR Technics staff and union representatives are due to meet the EU Employment Commissioner in Brussels today.
The meeting has been arranged to discuss workers' concerns about the Swiss firm's failure to address a deficit in the pension fund for its Dublin employees.
SR Technics plans to close the Dublin operation later this year with the loss of more than 1,100 jobs.
SIPTU says the pension fund is in deficit to the tune of around €26m.
