British Post Office sell-off 'will lose millions'

The British government will lose hundreds of millions of pounds on its plan to part-privatise the Royal Mail because of the timing of its controversial proposals, a new report claimed today.

Pressure group Compass said a financial analysis it had carried out on the likely revenues of a partial sale of the business would see the British Treasury net less than half the value it would have secured a year ago.
