Aircraft firm threatens to scrap Dublin expansion
Lufthansa Technik Airmotive is threatening to scrap plans for expanding its base in Dublin unless employees accept new work practices
The aircraft engine overhaul company was planning to invest €30m at its plant in Rathcoole.
However, it says the move will not go ahead if staff vote to reject proposed work practice changes following the collapse of talks at the Labour Relations Commission.
The company says it is not seeking job losses or pay cuts and the €30m investment would guarantee the future of the plant for the next 15 years.
