Planning sought for new Liffey Valley development

A planning application has been lodged with South Dublin County Council for a major new €500m retail development in west Dublin.

If it gets the go-ahead, the Liffey Valley Town Centre, which will incorporate the existing shopping centre, will provide a variety of civic amenities and retail outlets.

The promoters say it will create 2,000 jobs during the construction phase and a further 2,000 when the development is completed in 2013.
