Low cost airline easyJet today said passenger numbers were down 6.3% in March as a late Easter hit its ability to fill planes.

The ā€œno frillsā€ carrier’s monthly figure of 3.49 million was slightly up on February, which saw a 6.8% drop.

EasyJet also appointed an interim chairman today as it seeks to repair the split between its founder, Stelios Haji-Ioannou, and the rest of the board.
