SR Technics unions ask for dispute to be referred to Labour Court

Unions at SR Technics in Dublin have asked that their dispute with the company over redundancies and pensions be referred to the Labour Court.

Talks between both sides at the Labour Relations Commission have broken down.

SIPTU claims management is refusing to budge on its decision to close the aircraft maintenance company with the loss of 1,100 jobs, or to make any deal on the issue of a pensions shortfall.
