The ISEQ index of Irish shares gained 17.27 points to finish on 2,163.41 today.
It was a mixed day for the financials, as Allied Irish Bank (up 4c to 70c) and Bank of Ireland (up 2c to 52c) did relatively well. Irish Life & Permanent shed 4c to €1.26, however.
