British media group Daily Mail and General Trust today said it would cut around 1,000 jobs at its Northcliffe regional arm this year – double the number estimated last November.
The firm is also making further reductions “across all cost categories” at Associated Newspapers, which owns the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday.
