Coughlan to meet SRT management in Dublin
The Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Mary Coughlan, is due to meet SR Technics management this morning as the deadline looms to save more than 1,100 jobs at the aircraft maintenance firm.
The company is closing its operation at Dublin Airport in a matter of weeks.
The prospect of a management buy-out supported by a private equity firm is being considered, but such a deal may only save half the jobs being shed by SRT.
Unions at the Swiss-owned company are also due to meet management today amid ongoing concerns about the redundancy package being offered to laid-off employees.
