Air France to expand Shannon-Paris services
Air France has announced an expansion of services on its Shannon to Paris route.
The airline is basing a new and larger aircraft in Shannon to serve the route, which is operated by CityJet.
This means that capacity will increase, first flights will depart from Shannon earlier in the morning and last flights will return later in the evening.
The investment was described by Airport Director Martin Moroney as a significant boost to the west of Ireland as it considerably enhances one-stop connectivity to all key international markets at the airport.
“Doubling the capacity and bringing forward morning departure to 6.30 a.m. on the Charles de Gaulle Paris route is a huge boost, not just to Shannon Airport but the entire west of Ireland,” said Mr Moroney.
