Liquidator appointed to fashion outlet Sasha
Women's fashion chain Sasha is to be liquidated, it was announced today.
Staff representatives were informed of the move in a series of meetings this afternoon.
David Carson of Deloitte was approved by the High Court as liquidator to Denholme - the unlimited company trading as the Sasha chain.
Mr Carson was appointed as interim examiner to Sasha on November 28, 2008 and examiner on December 12, 2008 by the High Court.
"In the period since that appointment there has been a marked deterioration in the trading conditions faced by the group," said a statement from the company. "Consequently, there was no longer a reasonable prospect of survival and the company was put into liquidation today."
