Administrators for music, DVD and games retailer Zavvi said today it was closing 22 UK stores with the loss of 178 jobs.
Zavvi is the UK’s largest independent entertainment retailer, with 114 stores in the UK and 11 in Ireland employing 2,363 permanent workers and 1,052 temporary staff.
None of the company's Irish outlets were named as being among those set to shut.
