Richard Branson’s airline Virgin Atlantic confirmed today it is holding talks with Lufthansa “regarding the future” of UK carrier bmi, which the German airline now controls.

Richard Branson’s airline Virgin Atlantic confirmed today it is holding talks with Lufthansa “regarding the future” of UK carrier bmi, which the German airline now controls.

Virgin said the discussions “may or may not lead to an agreement” and a further announcement would be made “in due course”.
