More dire figures from the UK manufacturing sector did little to dampen the mood of investors today as the London market rallied from early losses.

More dire figures from the UK manufacturing sector did little to dampen the mood of investors today as the London market rallied from early losses.

The FTSE 100 Index was 55.3 points higher at 4355.4, adding to yesterday’s 6% advance for the top flight.
