'Dragons’ Den' entrepreneur Theo Paphitis said today he wanted to keep the Woolworths name alive after confirming his involvement in talks with administrators for the ailing high street chain.

Mr Paphitis, who made his fortune by turning around companies including stationery business Ryman and the Contessa and La Senza lingerie chains, said he was one of a number of parties interested in a possible rescue.
