JJB shares lifted by bid talk

Shares in ailing sportswear chain JJB jumped today on reports of possible bid interest from rival JD Sports Fashion.

At a meeting between the two firms’ senior management, JD Sports said it was considering all options when asked if it would make a bid, according to the Times.
