Major jobs losses predicted for retail sector

Major job losses are being predicted for the retail sector in the New Year.

Superquinn Chief Executive Simon Burke has said he would be "gobsmacked" if there were not significant cutbacks due to the current business environment.

Mr. Burke said sales figures in the last week were the worst in a decade.
