A Co Tyrone-based firm has won a £6m (€7.1m) contract to supply body armour to the Scottish police.

A Co Tyrone-based firm has won a £6m (€7.1m) contract to supply body armour to the Scottish police.

Hawk Protection has been hired to produce bullet and stab-proof vests, as well as other equipment, for the eight police forces in Scotland.

The business is based in Fivemiletown and already makes protective equipment for military, police and emergency services around the world.
