Slump in world markets continues
The slide in world markets continued today as renewed fears of a protracted global recession dealt another blow to fragile investor confidence.
The FTSE 100 Index was trading below the 4,000 barrier after extending yesterday’s 5% slump with a drop of 2%, while other European markets sustained losses in response to new five-year lows for Wall Street last night.
