Isuzu Motors will cut all of its temporary and part-time manufacturing workers, the latest of Japan’s carmakers to scale back production as overseas demand fades.

Spokeswoman Ai Ito said today the Japanese truck maker will cut 1,400 of its contract workers as it scales back truck output. The cuts are to take place this year.
